The British Transplant Games took place in Birmingham at the beginning of August.
20 Athletes from Wythenshawe and their supporters spent the five days on the fantastic University of Birmingham Campus. Most of the sports and social events took place on the campus so were only a short walk from our accommodation. The Weather was superb throughout which probably helped make it one of the most successful games to date.
Our overall impressive medal tally reads as follows:
10 Gold
4 Silver
18 Bronze
Bill Noble once again triumphed with 5 Golds and overall Heart and Lung winner and overall winner in his age category.
A more in depth report will appear in the Games Section of the Website shortly.
Next Years games take place in Newport at the end of July. If you would like to find out more information please give the Office a call
